In the middle of the evening, my two gerbils were thirsting for water. My mom realized that my gerbils had run out of water. Finally, they were quenched with that silky, soft, soothing water.
Just like the gerbils, we are always thirsty for rich and deep water. We get that water from the Word of God. It keeps us going from day to day. It is everlasting. It will NEVER fade away. It is alive!
John 4:14 declares, “but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Whatever we are facing in life, we know that His water will always be there to satisfy our soul.
In the picture above, my two gerbils were joined together in love. They are sisters and they love each other dearly. They care for each other and protect one another. Just like the gerbils, we are to love,
care, and protect each other.
When we show the love of Christ to people, they are blessed.
Hebrews 13:1-2 says, “Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers.”
In the picture above, we can see one of my gerbils’ paw is holding onto the other gerbil. Just like the gerbils, Jesus holds onto us. He is always there for us and He is our friend. We always know “What a Friend we Have in Jesus.”
John 15:14 says, “You are my friends if you do what I command you.”
He has your hand and we don’t have to worry. We don’t know what tomorrow may bring, but we have the promise that He is always there for us and He will never leave us. I challenge you this week to show love to someone.
~ 1 Peter 4:8 declares, “Above all, love each other deeply.”
